how to eliminate gas from your home

Good-bye gas.

Rising utility bills, the struggle to keep the heat on, and growing concerns about pollution: it’s time to say enough is enough.

EElectricity allows you to run your home on self-consumption—or almost.

But in practice, how does a 100% electric home work?

Heating

Warmset’s radiant floor heating system is far more efficient than any other heating system available on the market.

Thanks to the integration of the heating system with the photovoltaic system’s power generation, the entire home can be heated at virtually no cost!

Domestic hot water

How do you heat water without gas in the home?

The answer is simple: using a boiler that is electrically powered rather than gas fired. In this case, the boiler can operate with a heat pump or with an electric resistance.

Photovoltaic

How many kW of photovoltaic panels should you install on the roof? Our advice is to cover ever centimetre of the roof with photovoltaic panels: the larger the area covered is, the more electricity the system will produce!

The advanced technology of the Warmset heating system allows you to use all the power produced by the photovoltaic system.

You can heat the house while you are out and find the floor warm when you come home. With this method, it is possible to heat the home at zero cost during spring and autumn.

In summer, the surplus energy produced can be sold to the supplier or accumulated using storage batteries.

Air conditioning in summer and heating during spring and autumn

To cool the house in summer, you can use air conditioners with a split system or with a channelled system. In both cases, you can install a system that also produced heat in inverter mode. Thanks to this solution, during spring and autumn, when it is not necessary to turn on the underfloor heating, but becomes chilly in the evenings, you can switch on the air conditioning to obtain a more comfortable temperature.

Controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV)

One of the most important (and underestimated) elements for a home is controlled mechanical ventilation. Regrettably, many designers and builders do not include it in the plant engineering.

What is point-to-point or ducted CMV?

Structures are increasingly well insulated; therefore, air does not enter homes and humidity and mould form. In the height of winter we do not often open our windows, to prevent all the heat that has accumulated from being lost.

Mechanical ventilation creates an environment that is aired at all times, with no humidity and with high performance.

Storage batteries

Storage batteries allow the energy produced during the day to be stored and used when required. These systems are still very costly: it takes years of use to recoup the cost.

Induction hob

Can you cook without gas? Of course. All you need is an induction hob: once you have tried this new domestic appliance you won’t be able to live without it.
