HEATING FOR SCREEDS AND GLUED FLOORS
Warmset heating can be installed under any type of flooring. The two mains forms of covering with adhesives are the floor with screed and the glued floor.
Floors with screed
The Warmset radiant heating finds its maximum expression applied under a layer of screed. In fact, in this case the heating will transmit heat to this surface, which through Joule effect will in turn heat the room.
In this case the final flooring will be installed directly on top of the screed. New products developed in recent years replace conventional sand and cement screed with anhydride self-levelling screed. A more conductive screed capable of maintaining the temperature at length will be obtained in just a few days, without thermal shock. Modern screeds can also be just a few cm thick, making it possible to obtain a new floor in only 2/3 cm (inclusive of screed, heating and final flooring.
Glued floors
It is not always possible to produce a subfloor with screed. In these cases, for example when the screed has already been laid, Warmset heating can be installed directly under the glued floor.
Whether the floor is wood or tiles, the installation method is the same. Before installing the fiberglass heating it is advisable to apply an insulating material such as PCB Insulation. It this is not possible, the Warmset radiant underfloor heating can be laid on the floor and the flooring material selected glued over it.
This laying method allows the temperature desired to be reached much more quickly than when it is laid in screed; the downside is that when the heating is switched off, the heat dissipates much more rapidly.
