WHBE technology

WHBE technology is a multi-layer laminated ribbon patented by Warmset for heating. It consists of two conductive materials laminated and covered by a layer of polypropylene.
To increase the strength of the product, the WHBE outdoor mat is provided with a protective layer produced through hot extrusion of an EVA resin. To guarantee the maximum resistance over time and weathering, the connection is covered with a two-part resin.

Warmset electric heating can also be adapted to the photovoltaic sector: it can be installed on the rear side of photovoltaic panels, even of large size. In this way the formation of ice and snow on the surface is prevented and the functionality of the panels is maximized even in winter.

DE-ICERS FOR RAMPS

In winter, ice and snow on ramps, car parks, roads, pavements, cycle lanes or walkable surfaces outdoors are a real problem, which can cause considerable difficulties if not dealt with correctly.

The Warmset heating solution can be installed under any type of surface, with sizes differing according to the surface to be covered. At the time of installation Warmset laminated ribbon is unrolled like a mat, making it practical and quick to lay. Warmset outdoor heating comes with all accessories required for installation, including the cables with joints that guarantee that the circuit is protected to IP68, safeguarding against possible infiltrations.

It is possible to cover the whole of the ramp or only the tire tracks, to allow cars to transit even after heavy snow. Warmset heating can be laid directly on top of the electro-welded wire mesh and attached with clamps to prevent it from moving.

DE-ICING FOR ASPHALT

In winter, the presence of ice and snow on walkable outdoor surfaces is a true problem. It can be solved by positioning Warmset outdoor heating under the asphalt in the area concerned.

Warmset’s WHBE technology is applied to a mesh that is unrolled like a mat during installation, making it practical and quick to lay. It can also be installed with any layout preferred, by purchasing customized sizes.

DE-ICING FOR OUTDOOR AREAS AND STEPS

Warmset outdoor heating is the ideal solution to solve the problem of ice and snow on driveways and stairways. It is developed in reels of various sizes according to specific needs. Based on laying preferences, it can be supplied as loose ribbon or in a mat. Warmset heating is attached in a simple and practical way to small surfaces, or to grids that are positioned on the spaces to be protected. Thanks to the very limited thickness (just 3 mm) it can be applied directly under the tiles and embedded in the laying adhesive.

This system was developed for the complete management of a system with constant power or self-regulating heating cables.

The Warmset digital control unit for eliminating ice and snow is ideal for ramps, car parks, gutters and downpipes. The formation of ice and snow occurs through a combination of low outdoor temperatures and humidity. The control unit detects both the outdoor temperature and the humidity, constantly monitoring the area to be heated. In this way, the system is only activated when required: when ice is forming or when it is snowing.

How does the control unit work?

The system works through a temperature sensor that detects temperature and humidity and activates accordingly. The control unit can work with two connected but independent sensors: in this way different zones can be controlled. The control unit is provided with energy saving modes; this function, set during installation, allows an energy saving of 50%. The sensor has been developed, designed and created to detect the presence of humidity and snow, and the exact temperature of the road surface or of any outdoor surface (steps, slides, ramps, etc.). It is fitted internally with a small electric heating element powered directly by the control unit, useful as snow is an insulating material. The heating element melts the snow that has deposited on the sensor and detects the presence of water or humidity, activating the control unit. The sensor is mounted on the rigid and stable base with the upper part facing upwards and installation takes place in the most critical areas concerned by problems of ice and snow.
