Heating for renovations
Renovating your home is a truly special occasion. It is when you can make your dreams come true, bringing a breath of fresh air to every detail. At last you can say goodbye to those ugly (and above all inefficient) conventional radiators, or to that floor you never really liked.
Thanks to its very limited thickness, Warmset underfloor heating does not affect the renovation works. It can be installed in dry or semi-dry floors, but also under screeds, on the wall and on the ceiling.
Which is yours?
I no longer like my floor, but don’t want to remove it.
I don’t want to remove my floor. Nonetheless, I’d like to see something different, or to have underfloor heating, but can’t lose too many cm. In this case, the ideal solution is to lay it directly on top of the existing floor and lay a floating laminate floor. To obtain minimum thicknesses, we supply an insulation of just 7 mm capable of insulating from below and protecting the heating. The Warmset heating with the aluminium support is then laid. In this way the flooring in the home can be renewed without removing the existing floor, but simply adapting the doors to the new floor level.
I have a floor I wish to remove and I have enough space.
Flooring such as tile or wood can be glued on top. The insulation is laid on the existing floor, the Warmset heating with the fiberglass support is attached to it and the new flooring chosen is then glued directly over the Warmset heating.
The floor has to stay.
After having removed the existing flooring, the insulation is laid and the Warmset heating with fiberglass support is placed on top. A self-levelling or conventional screed level is created and the finished flooring is then glued on top.
The floor must remain the same.
In this situation the building can still be heated: in this case radiant heating will be installed on the wall or ceiling. It can be installed both under plaster and under plasterboard.
