Photovoltaic de-icing
Warmset has developed snow melt heating for photovoltaic systems. Warmset’s innovative technology can be applied to the photovoltaic panels of homes and businesses, activating the snow melt heating when required.
Ice and snow that deposits on the panel creates a covering (even partial) that can cause malfunctioning. To prevent this, Warmset heating rapidly and uniformly heats the whole of the area concerned, thanks to the technology’s aluminium covering.
The large contact surface is guaranteed by the self-adhesive properties of the product, with glue that can withstand high temperatures.
It can be rapidly assembled
No tools or accessories are required to attach the product to the panel. Warmset heating technology can be connected in series or in parallel, via the connectors installed in the heater. Heaters for photovoltaic panels can be made to measure.
Installing solar panels, whether for domestic and industrial use, is an essential step towards a more sustainable future oriented towards the use of electrical energy, aiming for a more efficient use of available resources. During winter, the presence of snow on solar panels can compromise their efficacy and operation.

What is the advantage of using our solutions to melt snow on photovoltaic panels?
Maximum energy production throughout the year, without interruptions due to snowfall.
Our snow melt systems are activated rapidly, operating only when required.
Our Warmset photovoltaic panel heater is ideal, as it is not subject to variations caused by temperature fluctuations, ensuring a long useful life and reliable performance.
The energy used to melt the snow on photovoltaic panels is quickly offset by the increase in energy output.
When it is snowing, cleaning the photovoltaic panels increases their output thanks to increased solar radiation reflected by the snow around them.
Industrial systems can be made safe in compliance with the Italian standards NTC2018, without costly structural works and with significant savings.
Modular system easily installed by any qualified electrician.
Correct operation of the photovoltaic panels allows a faster return on the investment.
A single, simple to install solution solves the problem of snow on solar panels once and for all.
The photovoltaic panel heaters operate at a power of 200 W/m2, allowing rapid de-icing of the panels and maximizing their output shortly after being switched on.
The heaters are activated through the common control unit for outdoor utilities, with a sensor that activates them only when necessary, preventing snow or ice from accumulating.
Warmset and Compliance with the NTC2018 Regulation
For industrial systems on building roofs, the application of our Warmset snow melt system can also represent a solution also to comply with the requirements of NTC2018 regulations. This legislation requires a higher load capacity of the roof compared to the actual values, above all in the event of snowfall. Adopting conventional solutions to adapt the structure to the regulatory requirements in the presence of photovoltaic systems would require complex and costly interventions, resulting in additional structural charges.
