Warmset radiant panels (or radiant strips) were created from a very simple, albeit effective, concept. Why concentrate all the power in one small point, when the same electrical values could be distributed over a larger surface?
LOCALIZED HEATING
Starting from this concept, Warmset has created a polycarbonate radiant panel dedicated to industrial use. The structure is made of polycarbonate, a material with excellent energy and mechanical performance, which makes it possible to achieve a high thermal gradient. The panels have a power of 750 W/m2 and reach a surface temperature of 100 °C. In view of its honeycomb structure, the rear side of the panel only reaches 40 °C. As they have only one radiant side, they are able to achieve a higher thermal performance than any other radiant panel. The panels are suitable to be installed in situations with limited insulation. They perform a localized heating function for operators working in one spot or moving about in the radiant area.
PANEL SIZES
The standard size of the panels is 1 m in width by 1 m in length. The panels can also be connected to each other to form larger radiant areas (e.g., 1×2; 2×2; etc.). The W-radiant Industry panels are fixed to the ceiling and kept at a distance of 2.5/3 m from the operator, or applied vertically. To provide operators with increased comfort, the panels can be combined with Warmset radiant footboards. In fact, the best solution is to combine radiant heat from below with radiant heat from above. Warmset radiant panels can be managed both with temperature control units and with thermostats that regulate switching on and off, according to company requirements.
