Years of experience in the sector allows Warmset to design and produce, in Italy, radiant heating solutions for agricultural greenhouses. The solutions can be customized and made to measure, without high additional costs and also at low voltage.

Warmset’s unique patented technology makes use of high quality materials and has been designed to give maximum output with very low running costs, compared to conventional heating systems.

Greenhouses and crops

Greenhouse cultivation requires heating that is as natural as possible and that respects the plants and flowers, to avoid damaging or compromising their growth. Experimental studies on electric basal heating for plant nurseries were conducted (by ENEL research and the Regional Experimentation and Agricultural Assistance Centre of Albenga). These studies, applied to numerous species of flowers and vegetables, show that with this form of heating much faster germination results are achieved compared to conventional air or radiant lamp heating systems.

In fact, many common heating systems do not allow optimal heat conditions to be created in the greenhouse because heat is not distributed uniformly; therefore, plant damage can occur due to too many temperature changes.

Warmset’s heating for greenhouses and crops:

Warmset’s innovative radiant systems (ceiling, bench or base mounted) transmit heat to the crops with an infrared radiant action that can create an optimal climate for any type of plant.

Floor heating

Warmset radiant heating can be positioned on the floor. It can be embedded in the screed, positioned under the growing ground or laid in contact with the pots. This installation system ensures even heat distribution and high energy savings.

Basal heating for beds

Growing beds can be heated with Warmset heating elements positioning them underneath or inside the bed, even under the soil.

Radiant aerial heating

The system is composed of polycarbonate radiant panels provided internally with Warmset patented heating technology. The panels are installed above the crops with a chain or hung on the walls. Their aim is to reach the crops in the same way as the sun’s rays: from above, localizing the heating power only in the points required.

RIBBON HEATING FOR HYDROPONIC CROPS

In the hydroponic greenhouse, the heater is produced with a loose ribbon applied directly in contact with the crop. The power is 30 Watts per linear metre.

It is easy to install

Unlike water-based heating, Warmset technology can also be positioned in greenhouses being renovated, where spaces are limited and no invasive work can be carried out. Being very simple to lay, it can be installed by an electrician in just a few hours. The supply and installation costs are much lower than any other type of non-electric heating.

Heating only where it is needed

Unlike hot air heating, Warmset greenhouse heating only heats the growing surface concerned. This prevents air stratification and dry air inside the building. 

It can be adapted to all types of crops

Warmset greenhouse heating can be installed in all types of greenhouses and for all types of crops. Thanks to the different supports to which the heating mat is attached, Warmset heating can be positioned:

  • under growing beds, with the adhesive aluminium support;
  • inside growing beds, with the black polypropylene support;
  • buried directly in the growing fields, with the extruded black polypropylene support.

It is inexpensive

Warmset electric greenhouse heating has very low consumption. By concentrating the heating power only in the areas that require it, energy consumption is greatly reduced. Warmset greenhouse heating can also operate at low voltage, using 24-48-110 V transformers.
