WARMSET HEATING VS HEATING CABLE :
The differences

Warmset electric heating is very different from the standard heating cable.

What comes to mind when you hear people talking about electric underfloor heating?

Certainly not a flat ribbon 2 cm in width. However, with Warmset that is exactly what it is!

All the differences between conventional heating cable and the Warmset patented ribbon

\

Larger radiant surface

Unlike a heating cable, which is only a few mm in width, our patented multi-layer ribbon has a radiant surface that is 2 cm in width. This allows uniform heat distribution.

\

Limited thickness

The Warmset ribbon is just 3 mm thick. When carrying out renovations, the space needed to install the insulation, heating and flooring is a very common problem. Thanks to the thin aluminium support, our heating system can also be laid under floating floors placed on top of the existing flooring, without greatly increasing the total thickness of the flooring.

\

100% Made in Italy

The Warmset patented ribbon is 100% Made in Italy. Unlike most heating cables which are imported from abroad, our product is produced and developed only in Italy. This guarantees safe and nearby after-sales technical support, both as regards the electrical part and the building part.

\

Uniform heat distribution

Heat is distributed uniformly on the surface and the system is able to reach steady state operation more rapidly. This occurs due to the higher cable density compared to conventional cables, which makes it possible for ribbons to remain at a lower temperature. This translates into greater comfort achieved with the same installed power.

\

Self-adhesive product

On request, the ribbon is self-adhesive, making it unnecessary to pre-glue the mats to the ground.

\

NO ELECTROMAGNETIC EMISSIONS

Unlike main heating cables that can emit EMF, Warmset’s patented ribbon is certified as zero electromagnetic emissions (Nemko Certified). This result is obtained thanks to the use of the double conductor inside the radiant heating, capable of blocking electromagnetic fields, as well as the flat structure that does not leave space for the circulation of electrons.

5-6 W/m

Average power W/m (150 W/m2)

8-10 W/m

Average power W/m (200 W/m2)

12-13 W/m

The temperature of the cable is lower and the hot/cold cycle is constant and slow.

ALL THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WARMSET’S PATENTED STRIP RIBBON AND THE HEATING FILM

Our heating system is not a printed conductive ink but a laminated ribbon with two internal conductors and an earth connection to obtain a higher yield and greater durability over the years.

There is no need to make the connections manually before installing Warmset heating on site. This is a very high risk operation required when installing a conventional heating film. If you choose Warmset, the heating system is already complete with the connection and with the power supply cable.

The Warmset heating system is suitable for tiles and glued flooring. Due to separation between the different layers, there is no risk of breakage, which can occur when film is used.

WARMSET HEATING

Laminated heating tape without loss of yield over time

Hanks already connected and ready to be connected to the line

Usable with any flooring

HEATING FILM

Heating film subject to performance decay

Connections to be made on site with risk of malfunctioning

Impossible to use with bonded screeds or floors
