At the sports complex in Vestli (on the outskirts of Oslo), the Warmset patented system can melt ice and ensures that the pitch can also be used during the winter months.
In the first figure, we can clearly see the levels that form the layers of the heating system. Going from right to left, we have:
• flattened bed of sand;
• insulating pad;
• Warmset heating system;
• glue (light green);
• synthetic grass (dark green);
• rubber filler material (very dark green).
The project has been developed in collaboration with the Finnish company Saltex.
